Nathan Wood Transfer News: Tottenham and Arsenal want him

Nathan Wood Transfer News: Nathan Wood, who plays for Championship side Swansea City, has really impressed everyone with his consistent performances in the league this season. The 20-year-old has gradually established himself as one of the key players for the team, and as a result, he is currently under the radar of teams like Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, who want to buy him in this summer’s transfer window.

The centre-back’s contract with Swansea City ends in the summer of 2024. As a result, Tottenham and Arsenal think that they can get him for a much cheaper price this summer. On the other hand, Swansea City also wants to sell him as soon as possible lest he leaves as a free agent in 2024. Thus, things are suitable for the Premier League clubs, and they must compete against each other for the signatures of the youngsters.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Swansea might also try to extend his contract at first. They will look for bidders if they are not able to keep him. “Nathan Wood is attracting interest after the 2002-born CB impressed on England’s U21 debut and has been outstanding for Swansea this season. Understand that Arsenal and Tottenham are monitoring his performances closely. Swansea is looking to try and extend his contract to prevent a summer move,” the journalist tweeted.

However, many netizens think that a move to a top-flight Premier League club might not be the right decision for the youngster right now. Nathan Wood has a lot of potentials, and he is one of the best defenders in the Championship this season.

That too at the ripe age of just 20 years. Thus, he might want to take things slow and move to mid-table teams before moving on to teams like Arsenal or Tottenham. He will definitely get a better platform to establish himself as one of the best young defenders in the world that way.
