Italian Professional Footballer – Michael Kayode has agreed to sign a new deal with his club Fiorentina recently. The negotiations with respect to the player’s new deal were taking place over the past few days. The player who had been a part of the club since 2021, is now all set to lengthen his period of stay at the club even further. The player’s new deal at the club will be completed soon as per the confirmations of several sources.
Michael Kayode to extend his stay at Fiorentina
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Michael Kayode’s contract extension with Fiorentina is a done deal now and will be completed soon. The talented youngster has agreed to sign a new deal with the club that will be valid until the year 2028. It will be sealed and announced soon by the club officially.
Michael Kayode who was born in 2004 began his career with Juventus youth academy. It was in the 2018/19 season that he joined Gozzano’s youth side on loan. He returned to Juventus at the end of the loan period in 2020. It was in 2021 that he joined Fiorentina’s U-19 side. He made it into the club’s senior team in July 2023. He has played a total of 7 matches for the club at the senior level so far having registered one assist.
Fiorentina have been in fairly good form lately. The team finished 8th in the league last season with 56 points in 38 matches. The team managed to earn a spot in the Europa Conference league this season after Juventus were kicked out of the competition due to violation of the FFP rules. The next major motto for the Fiorentina side will be to perform better in the ongoing league season. The onus will be on the team’s current youngsters including Michael Kayode to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
