Manchester United are undoubtedly one of the most influential teams in the history of club football till date. The team has displayed wonderful performances on the biggest of stages on several ocassions over the years. The sheer brilliance of the team as a whole has lead it to achieve several invincible records in the past. The team however seems to be in a bit of disarray as of now.
The side hasn’t been able to replicate it’s good performances from the previous season in the ongoing league season so far. The team under Eric Ten Hag has got off to an awful start both in the league and also the UCL this season. United have been highly frail against strong oppositions lately which has made them highly vulnerable on most of the ocassions throughout the matches quite often. Such a massive downfall in the team’s overall performances has lead to a lot of disappointment amongst the fans certainly.
Eric Ten Hag has his say on United’s current situation
United have lost 4 of its opening five matches in the Premier League so far this season. The team also failed to win against Bayern Munich in their opening Champions’ league game this season. Following a thrashing defeat against Crystal Palace in the recent Premier League game, Eric Ten Hag said that the team must stay together in the tough times. He said,“It’s frustrating beginning of the season for everyone. Especially for the fans, but for us as well”.“We’ve to stick together, fight together and get better and make sure we get improvements,I understand the ‘boos’ from the fans”, Ten Hag added.

Eric Ten Hag who joined United in 2022 had been pretty sucessful in helping the team achieve quality results on the pitch throughout the 2022/23 season. The team won the Carabao Cup last season which was their first trophy since 2017. The Dutch manager however has failed to get his side off to a good start in the current season in the league. With just 9 points to their name in 7 games, Manchester United are currently placed 10th in the league table. It remains to be seen as to whether Ten Hag is able to turn things around for the Red Devils in the remainder of the season.
