Marco Verratti makes a move to Qatari club following PSG exit

PSG player Marco Verrati has made a move to the Qatari league via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined PSG all the way back in 2012 is now set to part ways with the club so as to join Al Arabi. The player’s move to his new club has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.

Marco Verrati joins Al Arabi on a permanent deal

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Marco Verrati’s move to Al Arabi has almost been completed. The player shall be joining the Qatari club on a permanent deal. PSG had agreed on a €45m fee around 10 days ago. With the verbal agreement having already sealed, the player is supposedly travelling to Soha inside the upcoming 24 hours.

Marco Verrati who was born in 1992 began his senior career with Italian club Pescara in the 2008/09 season at the age of 16. After having made 78 appearances for the club in four seasons, he joined PSG in 2012. He had been a part of the Ligue 1 club ever since until today.

The midfielder played a total of 416 games for the club scoring 11 goals and provided 61 assists in all. The Italian international won 9 ligue 1 titles,6 Coupe de France, 6 Coupe de la Ligue, 9 French SuperCup at Paris during his 11 year stay at the club.

Al Arabi has been in fairly good form lately. The team finished second in the league last season. With 49 points in 22 games throughout the season, the team managed to cement its place in the upcoming season’s AFC Champions’ league qualifiers. The team’s next major motto will be to perform better in the ongoing league season. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including Marco Verrati to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
