Manchester United have been linked to Al-Nassr striker Vincent Aboubakar during the next January transfer window

Man Utd may pursue signing Vincent Aboubakar from Al-Nassr, as suggested by the Daily Mail. The Red Devils are determined to add a striker to their roster this month and are prepared to use the transfer market to do it.

Erik ten Hag can rest easy knowing he has at least one goal-scorer on the roster thanks to Marcus Rashford’s recent surge in form. However, others have not stepped up to the plate in the same way that Antony and Anthony Martial have.

A player named Cody Gakpo was a target for Manchester United. Unfortunately for the Red Devils, the Dutch attacker has decided to sign with Liverpool instead. This means that Marcus Thuram, who has shown interest in joining Manchester United, is a prime target. Plus, Vincent Aboubakar has recently come under their scrutiny.

Al-Nassr just finalized the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Premier League club’s continued pursuit of Vincent Aboubakar, age 30, would be quite unexpected.

In a recent interview, Erik ten Hag indicated that Manchester United would only consider loan signings this winter.

The manager of Manchester United said, “It’s always hard. Strikers are expensive, especially during the winter.

But you must set high limits. We want to find it. We need to think outside the box and do everything we can to bring in the right players who fit with the rest of the team. It comes down to when and where. It’s because so many things played a part in that. It’s a long time, and the window hasn’t even started.”

I think we have a team because we have players who meet our requirements. But every game is coming. All the leagues have tough competition. We want to continue playing in all of the leagues and cups. So we need people to play and enough people to cover.

We need players who are good, not just a lot of them. We need good players to fill in. And we also need competition and to know that we have different options. So, we’re looking for the right player to join our team, but he or has to meet not only our sports criteria but also some financial ones.”

When looking at Aboubakar’s statistics, there is nothing to be hopeful about. However, he excelled for Cameroon in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, when he scored the game-winning goal in the group stage against Brazil. If or not Manchester United will go to such lengths to get a new player or whether they would instead go elsewhere in the major European leagues is yet unknown. They might also use the services of Memphis Depay.
