Lampard is planning a return to the league only a year after leaving Everton
Frank Lampard was dismissed on Monday by Everton owner Farhad Moshiri. The fired strategist is already plotting his return to the limelight.
The Sun claims Lampard is planning a return to the league only a year after leaving Everton. The 44-year-old would like not to be unemployed for an extended period. After being dismissed as the club icon at Chelsea in January 2021, he took a leave of absence lasting a full calendar year.
After suffering their eleventh Premier League loss of the season, Everton relieved Lampard of his duties at the start of this week. Saturday’s 2-0 defeat against West Ham United lifted the Hammers out of the bottom three. The Blues’ 15 points after 20 games were enough for 19th position.
Lampard was signed by Moshiri on January 31, 2022, to replace Rafa Benitez for a two-and-a-half-year period. Nevertheless, the Blues owner felt compelled to fire yet another head coach, making that number six for him. Lampard is planning for a life outside of England at this point.
Lampard has decided to leave Goodison Park and try his luck elsewhere after his disastrous time there. The English hero would be interested in relocating to the United States, Germany, Spain, or the Netherlands. As for Everton and Chelsea, he wants to make one major change there as well.
Lampard wants his next managerial job to be at a team with fewer off-field troubles than Chelsea and Everton. After one season at Derby County, he took over at Stamford Bridge in July 2019 when Chelsea were under a FIFA-mandated transfer embargo.
When the Blues’ former player took over as manager of Everton, the Toffees were in the midst of a relegation battle. He was able to maintain them in the Premier League for the rest of the season, but they were unable to make any significant progress. The club’s situation has worsened, and now Moshiri must attempt to put out another fire. With 19 games played in the Premier League, the team was in 16th place on January 16, 2022 when Moshiri fired Benitez. They scored 19 points under the Spaniard but just 15 under Lampard this season. Lampard had three victories and eleven losses, while Benitez had five wins and ten losses.
