João Félix makes a move to Barcelona following Atletico Madrid exit

Atletico Madrid player João Félix has made a move to another La Liga club via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Atletico back in 2019 is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join Xavi’s Barcelona. The player’s move to his new club has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.

João Félix joins Barcelona on a loan deal

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that João Félix’s move to Barcelona has almost been completed.  The verbal agreement reached with Atlético on loan deal. Fabrizio also made it very clear that no buy option clause will be included. The documents shall be signed following the deal will be sealed.

João Félix who was born in 1999 began his senior career with Portuguese club Benfica in 2018 at the age of 19. He joined La Liga club – Atletico Madrid the following season. The Portuguese began getting a fairly good amount of gametime right from his opening season for the Diego Someone coached side.

He made a total of 131 appearances for the club before leaving for Chelsea on loan during January 2023. He spent the last six months at the Premier League club wherein he got to play 20 games scoring 4 goals.

Barcelona has been in wonderful form lately. The team won the league title last season. With 88 points in 38 matches throughout the season, the team finished at the top of the table – 10 points clear of second placed Real Madrid. The team’s next major motto will be to perform better in the ongoing league season and deliver impactful performances in the upcoming season’s Champions league. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including João Félix to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
