This summer’s transfer window is taking some major amount of twists and turns over the past few days with several clubs using this period as an opportunity to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season. Recently OGC Nice’s transfer window which was dormant for quite some time, finally sprung to life following their deal with Serie A club, Atalanta BC.
The deal was regarding the transfer of Jeremy Boga who is now almost set to leave Italy in order to join the French club for the upcoming season. The player himself was pretty much convinced regarding his move straightaway when the offer from Nice arrived.

French club Nice following their agreement with Atalanta regarding Boga’s transfer have begun the talks to finalise the deal and several aspects related to it. The deal from Nice is worth £18m to sign Boga. Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation made it clear that the details regarding the add ons are yet being finalised. It will be a done deal once all the details regarding the fee are finalised. Boga will have the opportunity to reunite with his old mate Francesco Farioli, whom he had played with earlier during his time at Sassuolo.

26 year old Boga began his professional career at Chelsea in the 2014/15 season. His major part of senior career was spent at Sassuolo where he stayed for a period of 4 years from 2018 to 2022 making 103 appearances for the club. The Ivorian winger was loaned out to Atalanta in 2022 where he later signed a permanent deal only to stay for another year. He has made 47 appearances for the club before his current move to Nice.
Nice are looking to add some offensive reinforcement following the departure of Nicolas Pepe who returned to Premier League club, Arsenal following a forgettable stint at Nice. To speak about their recent performances, Nice managed to finish 9th in the Ligue 2022/23. The team accumulated just 58 points in its 38 matches which included 15 wins, 13 draws and 10 losses. It remains to be seen as to how their new signing Jeremy Boga fits into his new team and is he is able to add value to their performances overall.
