Jack Hendry closing in on a move to Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabian football continues to land more and more players in this transfer window as Jack Hendry becomes the latest name to join the list. Saudi Pro League club, Al Ettifaq who have been pretty much active in the recent few days in the past transfer window have added another player to their squad. Jack Hendry is all set to complete a permanent move to Ettifaq for the upcoming season.

Following the announcement of former Olympique Lyon striker – Moussa Dembele, now Ettiifaq have added another player from Europe to their squad. The player shall join many other renowned names in the club which is supposedly going to be coached by Steven Gerrard in the upcoming season.

Jack Hendry to play for Saudi club, Al Ettifaq next season

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation made it clear that Ettifaq has just completed the deal for the transfer of Jack Hendry with Club Brugge. The medicals are done and the paperwork has been signed for both Hendry and Moussa Dembele already. The player who was once being considered to make a move to Celtic who had targetted him initially is eventually on his way to the Saudi Arabian club, Al Ettifaq.

To talk about Hendry’s career so far, the defender was in a fairly good rhythm during his outing at Club Brugge prior to this season. He joined the club in the 2021/22 season and made 41 appearances for the club in total before being loaned out to Cremonese midway between the 2022/23 season. He played just 6 games for the Serie A side during his time as a loan player at the club. Ettifaq who managed to finish just 7th in the league last season will be desperate to improve in the upcoming season for sure. They’ll be expecting their new signings to display quality performances hereon so as to strengthen the team’s chances even further. It remains to be seen how Jack Hendry fits into his new team and adds value to the club in his first season in Saudi Arabia.
