Franck Kessie to join Saudi Club following La Liga exit
Barcelona midfielder, Franc Kessie is on verge of joining the Saudi club, Al Ahli via this summer’s transfer window. The player as per several reports isn’t a part of the Barcelona coach- Xavi’s plans for the best future. Kessie this is on his own ay to become the latest player to have agreed to a move to Saudi this season. The move will be a huge boost for Barcelona who currently are suffering from poor financial condition. The club might finally be able to meet the FFP rules following Kessie’s departure from Catalunya.
Kessie to Join Al Ahli upcoming season onwards
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Franc Kessie’s move to Al Ahli is almost a done deal now. The verbal agreement between the two clubs concerned has been fully reached as the fee that’s been discussed is around £15m. The contacts between the club are in progress to check the documents following which the deal shall be signed soon. The deal regarding Kessie’s move will be valid for three years until 2026.

Initially the Ivorian player had been linked to several clubs including Juventus and Tottenham. However it’s Al Ahli which seems to be set as Kessie’s final destination as he’s closing in on a move to the Saudi Pro League hereon. The player shall be joining some other big names from Europe at his new club in the days to come. Al Ahli have landed some big players from all across the top Premier League clubs namely Edouard Mendy, Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez, and Allan Saint-Maximin.
Franc Kessie who was born in 1996 made his senior career with Cesena in 2015/16 season. The player came to everybody’s notice during his time at AC Milan wherein he displayed some quality performances. He first joined the club on loan in the summer of 2017/18 season. After a couple of years, his move was made a permanent one. He played 223 games for the club scoring 37 goals in total.
Al Ahli who have been promoted to the Saudi Pro League this season will be featuring in the league for the first time in two years. The club did brilliantly well to finish at the top of the division 1 league last season accumulating 72 points in 34 matches. The team will be looking to carry on their wonderful performances in the upcoming season as well thereby achieving significance improved performance in the times to come. The onus will be on the club’s host of new signings including Franc Kessie to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
