Dion Lopy is on the verge of joining a Spanish club following his departure from France

La Liga club, Almeria is closing in on the signing of Dion Lopy from Ligue 1 side, Reims via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s transfer were taking place over the past few days. The player is soon to join the Spanish club as per multiple reports.

With the passage of time, the talks regarding the transfer have reached the advanced stages lately. Lopy is a few steps away from joining Spanish football in the upcoming season in all probabilities.

Dion Lopy to make a permanent move to Almeria

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that the deal regarding Dion Lopy’s move is regarding is close to being completed. La Liga club, Almeria is in advanced talks to sign Lopy from Reims. The transfer deal of Dion Lopy to Almeria is going to be a permanent one. The Package is of around €10m fee, as the talks between the clubs concerned are underway.

Dion Lopy who was born in 2002 kick-started his senior career with Reims in the 2020/21 season. The player has been a notable part of his team ever since. He has made 60 appearances for the club during his three-year stay at the club to date.

Almeria on the other hand hasn’t been in a great rhythm lately. The team finished 17th in the 2022/23 league season With 41 points in 38 games including just 11 wins, the team narrowly escaped relegation.
