Damián van der Vaart makes a move to Eredevisie club following Esbjerg exit
Esbjerg player Damián van der Vaart has joined the Eredevisie via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Esbjerg back in the year 2020 is now all set to part ways with the club so as to join Dutch club – Ajax. The player’s move to his new club in Netherlands has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.
Van der Vaart joins Ajax on a permanent deal
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Damián van der Vaart’s move to Ajax has been completed. The player shall be joining the club on a one year contract. The deal shall be valid until June 2024. Damián Van der Vaart who was born in 2006 began his senior career with Danish club Esbjerg. He is the son of former Dutch international – Rafael Van Der Vaart.
The 17 year old is yet to begin his senior career at the club level. He initially was a part of the German club – Hamburg FC at the youth level. He made a move to Esbjerg in 2020. He has played a total of just 4 games for the Esbjerg reserves and U19 side combined inw hich he has registered an assist.
Ajax have been in fairly good form lately. The team finished third in the league last season. With 69 points in 34 matches, the team was able to cement its place in upcoming season’s Europa League’s playoffs.
The team’s major motto will be to to perform better in the ongoing league season and also deliver impactful performances in the Europa League nowon. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including young Damián Van der vaart to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
