Carlos Borges on verge of signing for Premier League club
Premier League club West Ham is closing in on a deal for young Carlos Borges and admits interest from other clubs too for the player. David Moyes, West Ham’s coach will be excited to inject some young blood into his team’s lineup for the upcoming season.
Signings like those of Borges will help the team achieve its objectives in the exact manner as planned by their boss. As per several reports, there was interest from Germany too in order to sign the youngster. Borussia Dortmund were keen to include the winger in their team in this transfer window. However, it was West Ham who have ended as frontrunners so far

Borges who is just 19 years old at the moment, began his career with a short spell at Sporting. He followed it up by joining the Manchester City Academy and never looked back since. Some quality performances right from the beginning for Manchester City in the 2022 youth league saw him grab the headlines almost instantly.
Despite there being some serious interest coming in from Borussia Dortmund to sign Borges, West Ham didn’t let go off their grip over the player as they did a wonderful job to get the deal done. A certain part of the credit here must go to the pull of the Premier League which made the deal happen. The Premier League club is working to get the deal done by the latter half of this week. The deal as of now is already at its final stages It would be sealed shortly in all probabilities for a few of around £14m. Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation made it clear that Manchester City would keep the back clause in the contract as well.
Borges who is yet to play a game at the senior level will be a great addition to the West Ham side. The young Portuguese has done sensationally well at the youth level lately. He has been amongst the goals and always been instrumental in the team’s attack at various youth levels both for Portugal and Manchester City. It remains to be seen as to whether the teenager is able to fit into his new team and add value to the club’s performances.
