Carlos Baleba makes a move to Premier League club following Lille exit

Lille player Carlos Baleba has made a move to the Premier League via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Lille around a couple years ago is now all set to part ways with the French club so as to join Brighton in the Premier League. The player’s move to his new club in England has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.

Carlos Baleba joins Brighton on a permanent deal

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Carlos Baleba’s move to Brighton has almost been completed. A verbal agreement has been reached with Lille on a deal worth €27m plus add ons of €3m with the sell on clause included. The youngster is all set to replace Moises Caicedo who left for Chelsea few days ago.

Carlos Baleba who was born in 2004 began his senior career with Lille at the age of 18 in 2022. He came to everybody’s attention especially during the 2022/23 season when he became a more or less major part of the team. He made 21 appearances for Lille across all competitions throughout the season. The player is now all set to begin a new journey in the Premier League with Brighton.

Brighton have been in fairly good form lately. The side finished 6th in the league last season. With 62 points in 38 games including 18 wins throughout the season, the team managed to cement its place in the upcoming season’s Europa League.

The team’s major motto nowon will be to perform even better in the ongoing league season and deliver impactful performances in the Europa League too. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including young Carlos Baleba to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
