According to reports, a contract in principle has been reached between Real Madrid and Jude Bellingham. The Borussia Dortmund star will be transferred to the Spanish club in the summer for a reported €100 million.
Bellingham has reportedly agreed to move to Real Madrid from Dortmund, as reported by MARCA and REVELO. Los Blancos have shown interest in signing the midfielder to further strengthen their team.
Liverpool and Manchester City were both interested in acquiring the English player this summer, but Liverpool dropped out of the running earlier in the year because they thought the asking price was too high. According to BILD, Bellingham’s camp feels Manchester City is a “plastic club,” therefore that option is out.
Although Dortmund wanted to retain the Englishman for another season, he is committed to making the jump to Los Blancos this summer. Ramon Calderon, a former president of Los Blancos, has encouraged Jude Bellingham to follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo by signing with Los Blancos and playing at Santiago Bernabeu.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Calderon had stated earlier that month that everyone who comes to Rèal Madrid knows the significance of being a Rèal Madrid player. He had mentioned that players like Cristiano, Modric, and Vinicius give a lot to the club, but Los Blancos gives much more to them. Calderon had shared his experience of signing Cristiano, where he had conveyed to him the importance of being at Rèal Madrid. Cristiano had realized the value because at Los Blancos, one can achieve personal and collective goals, and their prestige rises significantly.
Calderon had noted that people perceive a player joining Rèal Madrid as reaching the pinnacle, and the club’s prestige is astonishing. Being associated with the club is always considered something important. Calderon had mentioned that Bellingham has a great opportunity to come to Rèal Madrid.
