Bayern Munich is interested in acquiring Romelu Lukaku
Fichajes reports that Bayern Munich may try to sign Romelu Lukaku. The German powerhouses are looking to add a new forward for the next campaign. As an international player, the Belgian may be a target.
It’s been a few years since the 29-year-old’s best performance. Yet he has the ability to change things for the better. From Chelsea, Lukaku is on loan at Inter Milan. Furthermore, he will presumably go back to his parent club in the coming summer.
From the summer of 2019 to the summer of 2021, the Belgian forward played for Inter Milan. The former Chelsea striker was one of the top attackers in the world during his two years with the Italian club, during which time he scored at will for the team.
After seeing how well he played, the Blues decided to bring him back. In spite of his best efforts, his high-stakes gamble ended in failure. After a dismal season at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2021, he was loaned back to Milan.
However, the Belgian international’s season has been a struggle for Inter. There have been just five goals scored by Lukaku in 19 total games. Injuries have plagued him, and when he has played, he hasn’t been very effective. As a result, his worth has decreased to €40 million.
The 29-year-old’s loan stint, meanwhile, will end this summer. As a result, Inter is not expected to renew his loan or sign him permanently, and he will return to his native club. The last year of Lukaku’s Chelsea deal is 2026. In any case, he will most likely be traded this summer.
One of the teams that might be interested in signing him is Bayern Munich. For some time, they have had their eye on the 29-year-old, and come summer, they want to make a strong move for his services. It’s time for a new nine for the German powerhouses. Robert Lewandowski, who departed for Barcelona before this season began, has not yet been replaced. Given Lewandowski’s importance to their success, they are looking for a replacement.
While they had high hopes for acquiring Tottenham striker Harry Kane, they now realize the complexities involved. Thus, the German club is now concentrating on Lukaku, who is worth about €40 million. There are a few teams who want to sign him, so it will be fascinating to see whether they are successful in doing so.
