Barcelona trying to turn Cancelo ‘s loaned move into a permanent one
La Liga Champions’ Barcelona are trying to fugure out ways so as to have Joao Cancelo in their club on a permanent move. The Portuguese player who had made a move to Barcelona on loan just prior to the beginning of the current 2023/24 season has been a brilliant addition to the team already. Thanks to his brilliance on the field, Barcelona are already trying to give it their all in order to have him in their team on a permanent basis.
Joao Cancelo’s move to Barcelona might become a permanent one
The Spanish giants who signed Cancelo on loan around a couple months ago are now pretty much determined to turn the move into a permanent deal. Due to this, the club is trying to negotiate with Cancelo’s former club – Manchester City in this regard. Barca are closing in on an agreement of €35m fee with Manchester City to turn Cancelo’s loan into a permanent move.
Joao Cancelo has been in brilliant form for both club and country recently. The full back was in fine rhythm during his time with Manchester City leading them to two Premier League titles and one Champions’ league final. Having made over 150 appearances for the club he paved the way for the team to lift the UCL in 2023. He was impactful during his short stay at Bayern on loan during the later half of the last season too. The Portuguese has so far played 5 games for Barcelona scoring 2 goals.
Barcelona has been in wonderful form lately. The team won the league title last season. With 88 points in 38 matches throughout the season, the team finished at the top of the table – 10 points clear of second placed Real Madrid. The team’s next major motto will be to perform better in the ongoing league season and deliver impactful performances in the upcoming season’s Champions league.
