Aymeric Laporte makes a move to Saudi Club following Man City exit
Manchester City player Aymeric Laporte has made a move to the Saudi Pro League via this summer’s transfer window. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. Laporte who was struggling for game time last season while playing for the Pep Guardiola-coached side is all set to join none other than Saudi’s Al Nassr FC. The player’s move to his new club has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.
Aymeric Laporte to join Al Nassr FC on a permanent deal
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Aymeric Laporte’s move to Al Nassr FC has almost been completed. The player who had joined Manchester City close to 6 years ago is now on verge of signing for Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr. The agreement with regard to the deal has been reached on the player’s side for a salary in excess of £20m. The medicals have also been booked.
Aymeric Laporte who was born in 1994 began his senior career with Basconia in 2011/12 season at the age of 17. He made a move to Athletic Bilbao the following season. He made a total of 222 appearances during his 6 year stay at the club. It was in the 2017/18 season that the Spaniard made a move to Manchester City.

He was a part of several title winning squads at the club during his six year tenure. He however got to play just 24 games last season which might have led to his parting ways with the club this season.
Al Nassr has been in fairly good form lately. The side finished second in the league last season. The team also won the Arab Champions Cup recently this season. The team’s major motto will be to do better in the league and also get significant impactful results in the Asian Champions league in the upcoming times. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including Aymeric Laporte to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
