Aubameyang reaches an agreement with Ligue 1 club for the upcoming three years
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has officially signed a three-year deal with Olympique Marseille. The player was open to making a move to the club over the past few days as the club was optimistic about signing him via negotiations with Chelsea. Aubameyang made a final confirmed agreement to join Marseille on the afternoon of 19th July. The player who wasn’t really being able to find a decent amount of game time is expected to find some fresh but of rhythm following his move to his new French club hereon.
Aubameyang wasn’t in the perfect scheme of things in the recent past during his time at Chelsea. He wasn’t at all part of the regular starters in the team and was often left out of the main core of the team. The 34-year-old just managed to score 3 times during his 21 appearances for Chelsea throughout the entire 2022/23 season. He could start in just 10 games for Chelsea in the season overall and the performances delivered by him also remained average. Lack of game time and an increasing age seemed to have taken a toll on his abilities on the football pitch.
Aubameyang is all set to join French Club as discussed:-
Aubameyang has agreed to sign a three-year contract with French club, Olympique Marseille as discussed two days ago. The three-year deal until June 2026 was confirmed to have been signed by Aubameyang for Marseille as per Fabrizio Romano who officially revealed it with his trademark “Here We Go” lately. While on one hand, the striker is marking an end to his disastrous stay at Chelsea with a move to Ligue 1, the league where he began his professional career, the task still remains to be a highly tough one for Aubameyang to find his lost touch in the football pitch and prove his worth for his new club hereon. It remains to be seen as to whether he is able to make the most of his upcoming time at Marseille or if this turns out to be his last significant contract in top-flight football.
