Andre Onana Transfer News: Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana on a long term deal as a replacement for Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea. De Gea joined Manchester United from Atletico de Madrid back in 2011 and he has been at the Old Trafford for over a decade now and he has had many great and memorable moments with them.

With Manchester United, he grew up into one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Although he has had a few rough patches, overall, his contribution to them has been immense. However, he is not growing any younger and is currently 32 years old. The Spaniard’s contract with the club ends this year and it doesn’t seem like he will continue with the club. De Gea’s salary is huge and Manchester United has not been able to come to an agreement about his extension for him.

Moreover, their second choice goalkeeper Dean Henderson will also definitely leave the club by the end of this season in search of regular playing time. He was promised by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he will be a regular starter in the team back when he was signed but the Reds could not fulfill that promise. And it is even more unlikely now that Erik Ten Hag is in charge of the club.

Andre Onana has been in the radar of Manchester United for a long time now. The Inter Milan goalkeeper has been one of the most consistent keepers in top flight football for the last few years. He was the regular starter in Ajax during Erik Ten Hag’s tenure and that is one of the reasons why the Dutch man wants to bring him in.
