The Saudi Arabian clubs have taken European football into their side by signing the top footballers from all over the world to compete in their Saudi Pro League. Al Ittihad is the oldest football club in Saudi Arabia and is the local rival of Al Hilal. Al-Ittihad is the most successful Asian club at the domestic and continental level.

Domestically, Al-Ittihad is the second most successful club in Saudi Arabia winning nine league titles, nine King’s Cup titles, eight Crown Prince Cup titles, three Saudi Federation Cup titles, and one Saudi Super Cup. The defending champions will be looking to move into this new season with a well-balanced and talented squad. They have been working hard in the transfer window to sign some great talents and have picked some big names into their squad. Here are the top three signings of Al Ittihad for the season 2023/24:

1) Karim Benzema – One of the most renowned strikers of all time Karim Benzema has moved from Real Madrid to Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad this summer on a free transfer. After a long successful tenure of 14 years with Real Madrid making a total of 648 appearances and scoring 354 times, the 35-year-old has already scored 6 goals in 10 appearances for Al Ittihad this season. 2) N’golo Kante – France professional footballer N’golo Kante agreed to sign for the Saudi Arabian side after the expiration of his Chelsea contract. Kante is one of the best midfielders of his generation and has been a great asset for his side. He has made six appearances in the Saudi Pro League and has been a great signing for Al Ittihad this summer. Kante has made 53 appearances for his national side and has two international goals besides his name.
