After trying to find an answer for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Manchester United has made overtures to sign Josip Juranovic.
Tutto Mercato Web reports that Manchester United is still interested in signing Josip Juranovic and hopes to close a deal this month. The player is still keen on a transfer, despite apparently delaying negotiations with other suitors in favour of the Red Devils.
When Croatia had its incredible run in the World Cup, it was Josip Juranovic who was the star. The right-back was perhaps one of Qatar’s best players and a key reason the team advanced to the semifinals. His high-octane performances have garnered the attention of several elite clubs, including Manchester United.
Chelsea wanted to get the defender even before the January transfer market began. After losing Reece James for the season, the Blues needed a significant upgrade at right back. They have not yet added anybody to the position, instead opting to concentrate on signing a central defender and a couple of forwards.
Many teams, including Manchester United, have shown interest in the right-back and are prepared to begin a pursuit of him. Erik ten Hag is still looking to bolster his roster with a talented right back. While Diogo Dalot is still the Dutchman’s first option for the role, Aaron Wan-future Bissaka’s is very much up in the air.
If they can figure out what to do with Wan-Bissaka, Manchester United would be prepared to add a fresh player, in this example Juranovic. West Ham United has begun negotiations to acquire the right back, but his old team, Crystal Palace, has shown more serious interest.
Wan-future Bissaka’s at Palace is uncertain, although the club is still hopeful that he will sign a new contract. Manchester United might want a sizable return on the fullback’s investment. Potential suitors may agree, given the player’s lackluster play at Old Trafford since joining the club.
Nonetheless, there is optimism that a resolution can be found, which, if implemented, might open the way for Juranovic to join United at Old Trafford. Man United is apparently in contact with Celtic about acquiring the right defender.
According to the rumour, Juranovic has put a halt to negotiations with other suitors, like Juventus and Monza, to focus on joining Manchester United. There is currently no agreement between the two teams, although that may change soon.
