Herbert Hainer of Bayern has his say on the Declan Rice deal
Bayern Munich undoubtedly have been one of the most successful clubs in the history of football. The team has always shown great spirit on the football pitch and delivered impactful performances over the year. The team has been in some brilliant bit of form in the recent past on a regular basis.The team has been doing fine work both on and off the pitch consistently.
During the recent transfer window, the team managed to pull off some of the most impactful signings. However, there was one deal that the club failed to execute. The deal involved English professional footballer Declan Rice who couldn’t become a part of the German club despite being closely linked to the team on several occasions throughout the transfer window.
Hainer embarks upon the financial aspects while referring to the “Rice deal”
Bayern Munich’s president, Herbert Hainer had his say with regard to the Declan Rice deal that failed to get going eventually. He said that several financial aspects of the club that existed made it difficult for them to prioritise Rice at that point of time. Hainer said,”With the Declan Rice deal, given our financial possibilities we had to set other priorities”.“What remains is the club. That’s why you have to make decisions in the interests of the club”, Hainer added.

Declan Rice who was born in 1999 began his senior career with West Ham in 2016 at the age of 17. He earned his place amongst the regular starters in the team with the passage of time. After a long 7 year stay at the club during which he had played a total of 245 matches, he left for Arsenal recently prior to the 2023/24 season.
The Englishman has played 8 matches for the club so far scoring 1 goal. Bayern Munich have been in brilliant form lately. The team won the Bundesliga title last year for a record 33rd time in their history. The team will be featuring in this season’s champions league too. The major motto for the side will be to continue their brilliant run of form in the ongoing league season as well. The team will also be looking to win the Champions’ league yet again after having last lifted the trophy in 2020. It remains to be seen as to how well the team performs in the times to come
