Will Dusan Vlahovic Sign For Chelsea?
According to reports, Chelsea is planning to make a bid for Dusan Vlahovic, a striker for Juventus, before the next season.
Vlahovic, at 23 years old, has emerged as one of Serie A’s top scorers over the course of the previous two seasons. He signed a £71 million permanent deal to play for Juventus in January 2022 after scoring 49 goals in 108 appearances for Fiorentina.
The Serbian national with 21 caps has failed to live up to his reputation as a towering left-footed attacker endowed with muscle and finishing for the Bianconeri. He has been sitting on the bench as of late due to his dismal goal-scoring record.
With a contract that runs until June 2026, Vlahovic may become an important starter for Chelsea. In the club’s pecking order, he would easily replace both Kai Havertz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Vlahovic has contributed to 23 goals and six assists in 62 appearances for Juventus in all competitions. Football Insider reports that Mauricio Pochettino, formerly of Tottenham Hotspur, has made demands on Chelsea in advance of his possible hiring as the club’s next manager. He plans to use the forthcoming summer transfer window to clear up some roster space by selling off players like Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, and Hakim Ziyech.
Since the beginning of the year, rumours have circulated that Mount, 24 years old, would leave the Stamford Bridge club due to a contract dispute. Recent rumours have the English player visiting Liverpool, Manchester United, or Arsenal.

However, Kovacic’s contract is up for renewal in June of next year, attracting interest from a number of European powerhouses. The Premier League trio of Manchester United and City and Bayern Munich are all interested in signing the 29-year-old.
Ziyech has fallen down the pecking order as of late after failing to clinch a short-term loan transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in January. After starting only nine games this season, the 30-year-old is poised to go.
