Latest Chelsea News: Julian Nagelsmann has dropped out of the running to replace Graham Potter at Chelsea
Latest Chelsea News: According to reports, former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has dropped out of the running to replace Graham Potter at Chelsea.
The Blues have reportedly conducted discussions with Nagelsmann about replacing Graham Potter. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, a specialist in player transfers, the German coach has decided against accepting the position.
It’s a huge problem for the Premier League team, especially as Romano has said the German was their top transfer priority. Despite Bayern’s participation in three tournaments as of March, Nagelsmann was fired.
Romano tweeted: “Julian Nagelsmann has now withdrawn from the race to become the new Chelsea head coach — it looks like it’s his final decision. The German coach is said to be no longer available after multiple rounds of talks.”
Now Chelsea must look at her other choices. Luis Enrique, the former coach of Barcelona, and Mauricio Pochettino, the former manager of Tottenham Hotspur, have both been mentioned as possible contenders.

The Blues’ season is one for the record books as they were eliminated from every cup tournament. Currently in 11th position, they have almost little shot of making the top 4. With seven games left, West Ham sit 17 points below the play-in spot for the Champions League.
Thomas Tuchel began the season as Chelsea’s head coach. The German oversaw victories in the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in addition to the UEFA Champions League in 2021.

However, the Blues fired Tuchel in September because they wanted a permanent coach to implement a permanent strategy. Former Brighton & Hove Albion manager Graham Potter was brought in, although his tenure was ultimately unsuccessful. The English manager was in charge through a terrible stretch that saw his team finish in the middle of the league by the new year.
Bruno Saltor, his previous assistant, took over as interim manager as the team searched for a permanent successor. The former Brighton player was in charge for one game, a 0-0 tie with Liverpool.
In March, the club fired Potter and replaced him with Frank Lampard in an interim capacity. That has made it even more difficult to find a new permanent manager, since the Mirror claims that Enrique sought the job immediately upon being offered it.
The West Londoners will need to move quickly now that Nagelsmann has withdrawn from consideration. Stamford Bridge is turning into a nightmare.
