Winger Luis Sinisterra came in for some criticism from Clinton Morrison on BBC Radio 5 Live
When Leeds United faced Steven Cooper’s Nottingham Forest on the road at the City Ground in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, winger Luis Sinisterra came in for some criticism from Clinton Morrison on BBC Radio 5 Live.
According to the ex-Crystal Palace striker, Sinisterra blew two golden opportunities for Leeds in the first half against Forest.
The BBC Sport commentator thought the Colombian international winger, 23 years old at the time, played poorly against Forest. This afternoon at City Ground, Forest defeated Leeds, 1-0.
The chances of Jesse Marsch’s team avoiding relegation to the Championship after the season are still slim.
We felt that Leeds United’s Luis Sinisterra did not have a good game and could have done more with the opportunities he was given against Nottingham Forest.
The £21 million (The Daily Mail) winger had three shots, with two on target; he completed 82.4 per cent of his passes; he won 1 header; he had 35 touches; he tried 2 dribbles; and he made 2 tackles.
Morrison said about Sinisterra on the half-hour mark: “Sinisterra has to score. He has had two golden opportunities and it’s not good enough. When you are in the position that Leeds are in, you have to take those chances. It should be 1-1, it’s poor from Sinisterra.”
