Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch was reported as saying that he does not believe he will be fired
After Sunday’s loss to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League at the City Ground, Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch was reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth on Twitter as saying that he does not believe he will be fired.
According to Marsch, everyone at Leeds is optimistic about the team’s ability to maintain Premier League League status for the next season.
After today’s loss to Nottingham Forest, Leeds’ American manager made such statements. Forest beat the West Yorkshire club by a score of 1-0 this afternoon at the City Ground.
With 18 points after 20 games, Leeds is currently in last place in the Premier League. The Whites have played 21 games and are tied for 21st place with Everton on points.
Some Leeds supporters booed Marsch and chanted “fire him!” during the game versus Forest.
Due to recent poor results and play, Leeds faces the genuine possibility of being relegated to the Championship at the conclusion of the season. Marsch, though, will not be moving.
On Wednesday night, Leeds will play again in the Premier League when they travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United. The following Sunday, the Whites will travel to Elland Road to take on the Red Devils once more in league play.
