2007-born Juwensley Onstein signs for Belgian club

Dutch youngster Juwensley Onstein has signed for Belgian club – Genk recently. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had been without a club since July is now all set to begin his journey with Genk in the Belgian league. The player’s move to his new club has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.

Juwensley Onstein joins Genk on a permanent deal

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Juwensley Onstein’s move to Genk FC has been completed. The club has completed the deal to sign the Dutch U-16 player on a permanent deal. Onstein has joined the club on a three year deal, valid upto 2026.

Juwensley Onstein who was born in 2007 began his early career with Dutch club – Vitesse Youth in the year 2018 at the age of 11. He got to join Ajax’s youth academy an year later in the 2019/20 season. He was a part of the club at the youth level for four years until the end of the last season. After having his contract expired at the dutch club, the teenager was without a club for the past 3 months before making his way recently into Genk in Belgium.

Genk have not been in good form lately. The team currently sits 7th in the league table with just 14 points in 9 matches so far. The team hasn’t been able to replicate it’s brilliant performances from the previous season when it finished at the top of the table with 75 points in 34 games throughout the entire 2022/23 season. The team’s major motto will be to turn things around and perform better in the remainder of the ongoing league season. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including a 16 year old Juwensley Onstein to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
