West Brom is ready to finalize the loan acquisition of Chelsea prodigy Omari Hutchinson

According to a deadline day blog post by The Athletic, West Brom is ready to finalize the loan acquisition of Chelsea prodigy Omari Hutchinson, beating out rock-bottom Wigan Athletic in the process.

Hutchinson, who is 19 years old, switched teams from Arsenal to Chelsea only this past summer. The young prodigy has been on fire for Chelsea’s U21 squad and has been called up to the Jamaican national team. There is an agreement in place for him to join West Brom.

He made 18 appearances for Chelsea’s reserve team at the age of 21, during which time he scored six goals and sent out nine assists. Graham Potter has given him a shot because of his recent performance. In the 1-0 League defeat against Man City, he entered the game in the 22nd minute.

He also played in the team’s FA Cup loss against the Premier League champions a few days later. He will soon be joining Carlos Corberan at West Brom on loan. With any luck, he’ll be able to lead the Baggies to a spot in the division’s top six.

Hutchinson is making a smart choice. One, though, that is well-deserved. In the summer, he wisely decided to join Chelsea instead of remaining in the Arsenal system. It has revitalized him, and he is in extraordinary shape for a man in his twenties.

Because of this, Potter has given him a shot, just as he has given chances to many other young Chelsea players. At left-back, Lewis Hall is presently seeing significant playing time. Now he gets a loan to West Brom, which should be a lot of fun for him.

It remains to be seen whether he can earn a regular spot in Corberan’s promotion-chasing lineup. But the second half of 22-23 will provide him with extensive experience playing at the top level. One of Potter’s “dangerous” players.
