Real Madrid won’t get the 19-year-old sensation, instead he will move to Bracelona
Defensa Central, a Spanish news site, claims that Real Madrid will not be signing Florian Wirtz. There will be no signing of the 19-year-old sensation by the current La Liga winners. And when he eventually leaves the Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen, the midfielder’s goal is to sign with Barcelona.
Florian Wirtz has returned to a key role for Bayer Leverkusen after recovering from a lengthy injury. The Bundesliga powerhouses may have a new manager, but the teenage wonder is still one of the best players in the league. After his comeback, Xabi Alonso made frequent use of the German international.
In 19 games played in all competitions, the 19-year-old has contributed two goals and six assists. Yet Wirtz’s resilience in the face of hardship would have won over prospective wives. Nonetheless, a number of prestigious teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in acquiring his services.
This year, Real Madrid will outline a strategy for replacing Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. The two legends of the midfield are very close to calling it a day. The Merengues may be able to make it through another season with them, but they should prepare themselves for a future without them. This has led to Real Madrid’s interest in a number of players, the most prominent of whom being Jude Bellingham.
Florian Wirtz, a 19-year-old German prodigy, is not going to Real Madrid this summer because he wants to play for Barcelona instead
But, Real Madrid has also shown interest in Wirtz. The current La Liga winners, however, have decided against making a summer transfer for the 19-year-old sensation. The reason being, after leaving Bayer Leverkusen, the teenager hopes to play for Barcelona.
Barcelona is keeping tabs on the German international as a potential signing in the coming months. With the team’s recent development under Xavi Hernandez, it’s no surprise that the Catalan club is interested. Given that Wirtz has admitted to having fantasies of playing for Barcelona, the Blaugrana seems a natural fit for the rising star.
Yet Bayer Leverkusen will undoubtedly want a big sum to release the 19-year-old prodigy. In light of Barcelona’s ongoing economic problems, this is a major concern. It remains to be seen if Real Madrid would take advantage of such a circumstance.
