Real Madrid is keeping tabs on Raul, who the Leeds United want to sign
Marca claims that Real Madrid is keeping tabs on Raul, who Leeds United want to sign. After firing Jesse Marsch, Leeds reportedly want to hire Real Madrid Castilla manager Raul as their next head coach, as reported by AS earlier this week.
This week, Marsch was fired from his position as manager of the Premier League team.
Leeds is in serious risk of being demoted to the Championship at the season’s finish. It was reported by AS that Leeds had approached Real Madrid great Raul about managing the first team.
Former Spain international striker, now 45, declined an offer to become Leeds’ next manager. AS claims that Leeds has offered Raul the head coaching position of their first team.
The Premier League team was adamant about hiring the 45-year-old striker, but he turned down Leeds United. The current manager of Real Madrid Castilla, Raul, apparently has no plans to quit his position at the club.
Marca is saying that Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, is keeping a careful eye on Raul’s development with the young squad.
Madrid are looking for a successor to Carlo Ancelotti, the current manager of the first team. Raul is a potential contender, after all.
Of course Leeds is a major club, but Real Madrid is the most famous in the world, and Raul is a legend there. After having the opportunity to coach Real Madrid in the future, Raul would never leave for Leeds.
