Real Madrid has identified two replacements for Carlo Ancelotti

It has been claimed that Real Madrid is considering rehiring either Zinedine Zidane or Jose Mourinho to replace Carlo Ancelotti as head coach. As a result of the Italian’s poor performance this year, Los Blancos are trying to replace him.

According to El Nacional, Zidane and Mourinho are in pole position to replace Carlo Ancelotti as manager of Real Madrid. Florentino Perez, president of the club, is determined to lead Los Blancos to glory.

The only prize Real Madrid will take home at the conclusion of the season is the Copa del Rey. They were swept in the league by Barcelona and the UEFA Champions League by Manchester City. They lost 5-1 on aggregate after City thrashed them 4-0 in the second leg of the UCL semi-finals on May 17.

In the summer of 2024, Ancelotti’s contract with Real Madrid will end. While Mourinho now coaches at AS Roma, he has been linked to a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), while Zidane is currently clubless.

After Real Madrid’s defeat to Manchester City, veteran midfielder Luka Modric addressed the media and defended manager Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian, in his opinion, has performed well and should be allowed to see out the remainder of his contract.

In his first season back with Los Blancos in 2021, Ancelotti led them to three titles: the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and the Supercopa de Espana. He also has a FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Supercup to his name. The Brazil Football Association apparently wants to hire him as their national team manager once his current contract ends at the conclusion of the next season.
