PSG News: Kylian Mbappe allegedly begged the club to extend Sergio Ramos’ contract
PSG News: Kylian Mbappe, a superstar for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), allegedly begged the club to extend Sergio Ramos’ contract because he sees the Spaniard as crucial to the team’s success.
Ramos, a free agent signing for the Parisians in 2021, may leave at the end of the season. There have been rumours that the French club would not extend an offer to the four-time UEFA Champions League champion.
Mbappe, a fan of Ramos, has reportedly begged the club to prolong the former Real Madrid player’s tenure, as reported by Eduardo Inda of the Spanish programme Chiringuito de Jugones.
According to Inda, Ramos’ new contract may be for just one year and include a wage drop.
According to El Nacional, when Mbappe snubbed Real Madrid and signed a new three-year agreement with PSG in May of last year, he was guaranteed a large say in the club’s incomings and outgoings.

Reports out of France claim that Neymar is ready to leave PSG this summer for a new team. The French capital has been making efforts to release the player for some time.
Recent jeering by a large crowd outside Neymar’s Paris apartment block may have influenced his choice. The 31-year-old winger reportedly has offers from Saudi Arabia but prefers to stay in Europe.
Man Utd, Chelsea, and Newcastle United, all in the Premier League, are said to be interested in signing him.
After signing with PSG for a record €222 million in 2017 from Barcelona, Neymar has appeared in 173 games for the club, scoring 118 goals and dishing out 77 assists. His agreement will end in 2025.
