Pochettino heaps praise on Armando Broja’s recent performances
Chelsea FC have been going through several hot and cold moments right from the beginning of the current 2023/24 season. The team under Mauricio Pochettino has not been able to deliver the performances as per the expectations of the fans and management recently. The team made a number of seemingly good signings prior to the beginning of this season during the summer transfer window. Several brilliant player’s including Nkunku, Caicedo, Jakson and many others joined the side. The team has however been able to break the shackles lately and register a couple of good wins to seemingly get themselves back on track.
The manager – Pochettino was as happy as any other Chelsea fan following the team’s recent victories against Fulham and Burnley. He made sure to admit the brilliance of the player’s on the pitch. Amongst several players who did well for the team was Armando Broja who scored against Fulham to redeem himself and his team.
Chelsea seemingly getting their season back on track
Pochettino was on cloud nine following Chelsea’s fine performances one after the other against Fulham and then Burnley in the league. He made sure to speak about Broja’s involvement in the team’s recent success. He said,”We trust him, he has amazing potential”.
“It’s about how he recovers from his big injury. He’s a very talented player. We trust him, that’s why he played against Fulham. Now he needs time to feel complete”, Pochettino added.
Armando Broja who was born in 2001 began his senior career with Chelsea in 2019. He has spent the majority of the time so far on loan at Vitesse and Southampton. He scored his first goal for Chelsea in the 2022/23 season. The striker has so far played 23 matches for the blues across all competitions scoring 2 goals. It remains to be seen as to whether he can continue his fine performances for the club during the remainder of the season or not.
