Kostas Tsimikas signs new deal with Liverpool FC

Greek international Kostas Tsimikas has signed a new deal with Liverpool lately. The negotiations with respect to the player’s new deal were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Liverpool around 3 years ago is all set to lengthen his stay at the club even further. The player’s new deal has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.

Kostas Tsimikas extends his stay at Liverpool

Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Kostas Tsimikas’ new deal with Liverpool has been completed. The player has already signed a new deal with the English club that will be valid until June 2027.“I feel very glad to be here to extend my contract. I feel like all the sacrifices I did and other things, the work I put in, that everything pays off”,said Tsimikas.

Kostas Tsimikas’ who was born in 1996 began his senior career with Olympiacos in the Greece league at the age of 19 in 2015. After having made 86 appearances for the club, he made a move to Liverpool in the Premier League in the year 2020. The left back has played 63 matches for the club so far.

Tsimikas made his senior debut for Greece in the year 2018. He has made 29 appearances for his country at the senior level till date.

Liverpool have been in rather average form lately. The team finished 5th in the league last season. With just 67 points in 38 games throughout the last season, the team managed to cement its place in the Europa League for the upcoming season. The team’s next major motto will be to perform better in the ongoing league season and deliver impactful performances in the Europa League too. The onus will be on the team’s talented players including Kostas Tsimikas to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
