Josuha Guilavogui makes a move to Mainz following Wolfsburg exit
Wolfsburg player Josuha Guilavogui has made a move to another Bundesliga club on a free transfer. The negotiations with respect to the player’s move were taking place over the past few days. The player who had joined Wolfsburg around 7 years ago in 2016 after the expiration of his contract with the club has now joined Mainz. The player’s move to his new club has almost been completed as per the confirmations of several sources.
Josuha Guilavogui joins Mainz on a permanent deal
Fabrizio Romano via his official revelation let everyone know that Josuha Guilavogui’s move to Mainz has nearly been completed. The player shall be joining the club on a 1+1 year contract. Joshua who was a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Wolfsburg shall be joining Mainz as a free agent.

Josuha Guilavogui who was born in 1990 began his senior career with Saint Etienne in 2009 at the age of 19. After having made over a 100 appearances for the club until 2013/14 season, he left for Atletico Madrid. After spending a couple of years on loan at Wolfsburg thereon, his move became permanent in 2016. He stayed at the German club until 2021. The Frenchman played 155 games for the club in the duration scoring 7 goals.
Mainz has been in fairly good form lately. The team finished 9th in the league last season. With 46 points in 34 matches throughout the season the team failed to cement its place in any of the European competitions for the upcoming season. The team’s start to the current season too hasn’t been a good one as they’ve lost three of their four opening league games so far.
The next major motto for the team will be to perform better in the remainder of the ongoing league season. The onus will be on the team’s new signings including Joshua Guilavoguii to help the side achieve its objectives hereon.
