Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United might be willing to sell Harry Maguire to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United in the next summer transfer season
90min reports that Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United might be willing to sell Harry Maguire to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United in the next summer transfer season. It has been speculated that Manchester United defender Harry Maguire may join Newcastle United.
Manchester United reportedly informed Maguire he may leave at the end of the season, according to a story published this morning. Even though he makes £200,000 a week (SalarySport), the England international center defender has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford.
Among the teams keeping tabs on the 30-year-old defender in anticipation of signing him in the summer of 2023 is Newcastle, according to the report. Maguire has also reportedly attracted interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
We believe that centre defender Harry Maguire, now of Manchester United, would be an excellent addition to Newcastle United during the next summer transfer window.
It’s true that the 30-year-old has had a rocky time of it at Old Trafford, but he’s still a very talented defender with a lot of experience.
Maguire is an integral part of the England squad and has represented his club, Manchester United, in important European events. We think the 30-year-old would make Newcastle stronger defensively and improve their prospects of success in Europe if the Magpies make in to the UEFA Champions League and/or UEFA Europa League in the future seasons.
