Ange Postecoglou isn’t concerned with the rumours that he may be hired by Leeds United

Ange Postecoglou is already the manager of a “great football club” at Celtic. Therefore he isn’t concerned with the rumours that he may be hired by Leeds United. In response to Jesse Marsch’s poor performances, Leeds decided to release him on Monday.

The Whites have been connected to several potential possibilities, but they haven’t had much success in signing any of them. Andoni Iraola, manager of Rayo Vallecano, reportedly will not follow Carlos Corberan and Arne Slot to West Bromwich Albion and Feyenoord, respectively.

Ange Postecolgou is another potential candidate for the Leeds managerial position who may now be eliminating himself from consideration. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Postecoglou is under consideration to replace Garry Monk as manager of Leeds.

Like has always felt like a lofty goal, and it seems that Postecoglou has little interest in pursuing it. Celtic supporters’ enthusiasm for the Australian has to be commended. Since joining Celtic from Yokohama F. Marinos in the summer of 2021, Postecolgou has been phenomenal.

Ever since Postecoglou took over as coach, the Bhoys’ performance has been outstanding, and they won the Scottish Premiership last year. Postecoglou’s superb job rebuilding Celtic following the Neil Lennon period has attracted suitors and a new championship seems to be on the horizon for Parkhead.

Still, it would take an unbelievable deal for Postecolgou to consider leaving Celtic. Postecoglou has calmed the nerves of Celtic supporters by reassuring them that he would not be leading the team into a relegation fight with Leeds.

Postecoglou told the Daily Record that he sees no need to quit Celtic at this time since he is currently working for a great team. Postecoglou said that the supporters of Celtic don’t need a message from him, but that he would continue to give his all for Celtic regardless.

“I don’t think the fans need a message from me. What the fans need is for me to keep making sure that our football club is represented in the right way. That’s my responsibility. If you have a player in this position where he’s getting a lot of attention the first thing you say to him is to keep playing well and don’t worry about anything else,” said Postecoglou.

“I’m old enough now to know the game changes very quickly. I’m pretty blessed to be in the position I’m in. I’m working for a special football club and won’t lose sight of that but my main responsibility is making sure I prepare the team well for a game,” he added.
